The Last Steam Tug in Great Yarmouth

Richard Lee Barber
By Neil Cox

Although I do not remember seeing the Richard Lee Barber in use, here are some pictures of her prior to being sent to the breakers yard in Belguim.  Her hull was in good condition and was presumably used as a barge or houseboat.  I really am unsure about this information so any one with information about her would be a a great help.

I recall that the Richard Lee Barber was frequently moored on the Gorleston side of the Yare at Baker Street in the period 1961-65 when as teenagers, we fished for eels nearby. Duncan Kirkwood
