Photographs from a view book of Gorleston

Cheaper than postcards?
By John Layton

This view book comes from a large collection of postcards owned by the Museums, and was, perhaps, a cheaper way of recalling your holiday than buying separate postcards.

The last photograph depicts the arrival of the 'London Boat', which was one of a number of pleasure craft that ferried day trippers to and from the capital.

If any of you have postcards of Yarmouth or Gorleston that we could put on the site, we would be most grateful.
