Anchor Gardens

The Anchor Gardens are so-called because of the Anchor-shaped flower-bed they contain.

They stand next to Joyland, and this is where you will find the horse-drawn carriages that will take you on a leisurely tour of the seafront.

Earlier last century, it was also the place to come for donkey and pony rides.

Does anyone know who designed the Anchor Gardens in Great Yarmouth? I have been told it was John Dashwood 1859-1934 who was my great grandfather.
