Demolition of Watlings Maltings, Southtown

The town had its own brewery, Lacons, and its own Maltings, Watlings, the offices of which were on the river side in Cobholm.  The main buildings were demolished as can be seen here, but part of them have become a housing development.

This is not Watlings this was Watneys. Watneys/ Coombes was at the southern end of Southtown, Watlings was at the northern end of Southtown -Cobholm side of the Haven bridge.
