I find it very strange and somewhat sad but no mention of the Little Theatre is made. It was situated at the back of the Royal Aquarium in what used to be called the Minor Hall. Aurora Productions ran Weekly Rep’ - a different play every week!
As a boy in the1950s I saw every production for two years and on my 14th birthday had the joy of appearing on stage in a production of Master of Arts.
When I left school I joined the company as an ASM and actor and stayed until I was called up for National Service and worked on Radar at RAF Hopton.
I have programs posters photographs and many happy memories of my time there and learned by trade. Far better than any drama school. I worked with Ruth Kettlewell, Donald Adams, Richard Pascoe an John Franklyn Robins - sadly all gone now. But - I’m still here!
If anybody is interested I would be happy provide copies of photographs and programs and bore them to death with my memories .
I had hoped the lovely Time & Tide Museum would be interested, but have tried on one occasion but without success.
