Yarmouth Racecourse, on Caister Road, has always been a firm favourite, with locals and holidaymakers alike - one of my uncles who lived in Sussex, used to come at least once a year to visit the Races!
However, this is not the first Racecourse the town has had - there used to be one on the South Denes, near the Harbour's Mouth, and there was a ferry service running from the Gorleston side, which finished in the 1800s, as far as I know.
