Profile of Sue Cruickshank: Year 2 Teacher at Herman First School

Sue Cruickshank started teaching in 1973 she has been teaching at Herman First School for the last 20 years. She says the school hasn't changed much "we often teach the children of parents we have taught. I have grandparents bringing children in, and I know them".

She enjoys the hands-on aspect of her job, teaching, working with the children and watching them learn and thrive on the experience. She says: "We make sure that school is fun, and that it maximises their learning as much as possible".

At the moment the school is in a period of change: it will amalgamate into Herman Primary School in 2008. With a new school building planned that will address security and disability issues.

You never change!!  You taught our daughters Lisa(26), Kelly (22) and Zoe(13); and now you will be teaching our grandson Alex(5).  Keep up the good work.
